Dorateymur’s AW17 elephant heels…

DORATEYMUR elephant shoes heels

OH MY ACTUAL GOD! Heels. That are elephants. Elephant heels.

Have you ever seen anything so amazing?

But once again, none for us men. And I’ll put money on the fact I won’t be getting these in a size 11!

Tank magazine’s fashion director, Caroline Issa alerted me to these on Instagram a few weeks ago…

The London-trained shoe designer, Dora Teymur, launched his line 2012, full of sculptural shapes that became style stars’ favourites.

Easy to see why, huh?

Any elephant fans out there? THESE ARE THE SHOES FOR YOU!

And now you can pre-order over on Moda Operandi – HERE

Get these white pumps HERE

Also, while I’m here, I’m helping support the March For Giants campaign – to help save elephants. Find out more here.

Kobi Levi, shoe genius (continued, again!)

Awww once again my new found favourite fashion-art-design amazing person has released yet more fun shoe designs. Kobi Levi, who I’ve spoken about multiple times now, has just launched his latest three design shoe collection, focusing on birds!

The Stork, Flamingo and Ostrich really speak for themselves, I just love the quirkiness of the leg heels and the contrast beak toes.

I long for Kobi’s update emails, they makes me smile, BIG time.

When are we going to see these on the red carpets? The time has come me thinks!

Celebrity Big Brother – Julian Clary wears Prada shoes…

OMG, who the hell knew that Mr Julian Clary was a fashionista?? We’re just used to seeing him in some lippy and a bright coloured shirt, making sexual innuendos. Well, nothings changed really, expect that for tonight’s Celebrity Big Brother launch, HE’S WEARING THE PRADA SHOES I DREAM OF!

Look… Julian is wearing THOSE jewel studded, fringed brogues from the spring summer 2012 collection. He teams them with a black and blue polka dot suit that he surely took from his wardrobe when he was playing Leigh Bowery in Boy George’s Taboo back in 2002 (yes, the same show I spoke about last week, the one coming back next month yeh??).

Is Julian a dark fashion horse we should be looking out for?? If he’s got these shoes, maybe he is?

Love him already.

Swedish Hasbeens pop up in Selfridges!

So this morning I POPPED down to Selfridges to see Swedish Hasbeens‘ POP UP shop opening. More than just oh-so-cute pastel coloured hand made shoes, the launch of the pop-up shop consisted of this dance performance in Selfridges Shoe Lounge. All the dancers, if you can’t see, were wearing a pair of Hasbeens.

The pop-up shop will run for four weeks and is located on the 2nd floor in the Shoe Galleries in Selfridges, London – for anyone having a little shopping trip!

And here’s four of my favourites… one for each week!

*The saddle shoe high, £332*

*The bowling shoe, £276*

*The Margot, £257*

*The Saddle shoe (unisex), £323*

Ones to watch: Sssssshoes for the season!

Wasn’t it Carrie Bradshaw who once said: ‘Water water everywhere, not a drop to drink’ whilst walking round a shoe shop with a heavily pregnant Miranda? I think it was, yes!

And she’d DEFINITELY say the same if she was asked to comment on the shoes we saw stomp down the catwalks for Spring Summer 2012! I was completely wowed by the footwear that the designers showcased for this season. In fact the shoes are sometimes the best bit from the collections.

If you’re feeling flush, then here are a few I’d suggest you invest in! You’d have them forever!!!

*Prada’s flames and McQueen’s romantics*

*D&G’s scarf print wedges and Blumarine’s psychedelic florals*

*Versus’ mint strapys and Celine’s chunkies*

OK, I have shoe envy, thanks LUISAVIAROMA!

I don’t know why I do it to myself, but browsing has become one of my favourite pastimes. In a dream like state, I imagine owning everything on the site, racking up my imaginary shopping basket total to thousands!

Having just scrolled through their new-in section for both men and women, there are new season shoes that are quite simply a must for everyones wardrobes!

For the boys…

And for the gals…

Kobi Levi shoe genius… continued

You’ll probably remember the ‘bird’ series, or the Blonde Ambition shoe, or maybe even his Sling Shot pair. Either way Kobi Levi keeps coming back with more and more footwear ideas that really do defy all normal design and craftsmanship.

This time it’s two new pairs, both no relation to each other but equally fab in their own right, and rather interesting to look at, as always.

I asked Kobi a few questions last year on his unique take on footwear, take a look…
