Hey!

Welcome to The Very Simon G. My blog has been going for nearly a decade, but there ain’t getting away from me just yet! Come in for fashion, fun and everything in between. Enjoy!

Frock me!

OMG. So when I said that 2010 was the year of the dress (a new year on the Chinese calendar possibly?), I really wasn't kidding was I? Did you SEE the fashion from the Golden Globes? The celebs outdid themselves good and proper. Usually there's a handful of the lovely red carpet regulars who, erm, how do I put this... should sack their stylist and run for the hills for a while to get over the shame, but this year - fwoar! It was a delectable smorgasbord of the best dresses form the best designers the world has ever seen. There was ruffles and slits and bows and chiffon and colours and BREATHE. Just have a look below.

What did you think?

Dame Helen in Armani Prive - surely one of the best dressed of the evening!?

Ms. Sophia Loren in Armani Prive. Isn't she glam? Loving the nude sleeve - great way to cover up.

Jaime Pressly shines on in Kevan Hall. Love the hair, love the bag, love the shoes.

Glee's Lea Michelle in Oscar de la Renta - and THIS is why he is one of my favourites! Pure dramatic elegance. WOW!

Courteney Cox in a simple yet stunning Victoria Beckham gown (available to buy in Harrods and Selfridges and retails at £3200)

The ridiculously gorgeous Jenny Aniston in the sexiest of Valentino's numbers!

Marion Cotillard chose this green Dior gown - the colour looks great with almost all complexions. One shoulder and draped - very on trend! Love her.

Toni Collette loves her Elie Saab dress, and wouldn't you? It perfectly streamlines the body with the glittery columns.

Kate Hudson wears Marchesa, and doesn't she look amaze? Highly romantic and a brilliant fit, Kate is sculpted by this frock. Every girl needs one (the Notte by Marchesa line comes in a little cheaper - available on www.net-a-porter.com)

Peachy little Christina Aguilera hasn't been seen this glam for a long time! This Versace dress is one of a kind - flatters all the way down and in the most incredible colour for a blonde.

Isn't this picture great? Never mind the gorgeous Armani Prive lace dress! Well done Penelope, you look simply divine! (a fishtail adds height people)

Avatar was great Zoe, but your ruffled Louis Vuitton is better! Skin tone and dress colour compliment each other perfectly.

This pastel purple Elie Saab makes Fergie look like a Goddess when normally she looks a little...cheap.

Another soft, delicate, romantic ruffle statement gown from Valentino. Less of the hard face Chloe, you're meant to look pretty like your dress!

Sandra Bullock goes slightly 80s with this Bottega Veneta chiffon gown. The colour is bloody gorgeous!

Emily Blunt dazzled in this tulle Dolce & Gabbana. Top marks Em.

Only Cher could work this Gothic, Morticia Adams dress. Loving the lace, lace up detail. Love love love her! (watch out for her upcoming film, 'Burlesque', where she stars alongside Ms. Aguilera!)

It's nude all the way for Drew in this Atelier Versace one shouldered dress. The detail on the waist line trims her right down, not that she needs it!

And one of the only ones I didn't like...

Julia, what were you thinking? It might be vintage YSL, but it's more Croydon night out than red carpet glam! Sham on you!! (and what's with the 'my waters have just broken' pose?)
