So I'm here at Somerset House for the official opening of LFW. The first thing to note is the dedication wall to Alexander McQueen (below). Pictures, touching messages and emotional notes adorn the wall in a tribute to the British fashion great.
The first show was Paul Costelloe (separate blog to come). PVC knee/thigh high leg warmers were a staple for all the rather large-haired women. As were big shoulders once again, sheer and amaze jackets. For men, neck ties and full length coats were sent down the catwalk.
After the show, BFC's Harold Tillman spoke and announced a one minute tribute to McQueen (video coming soon), and Sarah Brown voiced her support for all things British (see her below).
I'll be blogging all day, so stay tuned for all the latest!
