I came across this picture of Sheikha Mozah of Qatar on the weekend when I was flicking through my mum's Hello magazine. She's over here meeting the Royals in aid of new relationships between both nations. I was instantly memorized. Look at that gorgeous dress-cum-coat. It's beautifully belted, gorgeously grey and fabulously figure-flattering (ooo love a bit of alliteration!). Not only that, but the jigsaw-like pieces gives it another dimension entirely. She's so statuesque - like Julie Newmar, just another nationality and, I hasten to add, a little fiercer?
I've done a little research on Her Highness, seen a few more pictures, and it seems that it's not just Prince Charles who she dresses up for. She ALWAYS looks sensational. Always excellently turned out and always in the most jaw-dropping amaze colours. And she pulls it off. I think it's due to her skin tone being naturally sun kissed - lucky thing! If you have dark colouring, bright hues always pop. A little tip from me to you.
Sheikha Mozah is quite the nation's (Qatar) sweetheart. Actively involved in the politics and government of Qatar, and a voice that is very much being listened to, is it any wonder why she wants to look fab the whole time? On her website, www.mozahbintnasser.qu, she states that "We want our people to have a stake in their country, and we are working to ensure that leaders emerge from each and every Qatari generation". Her dedication is heart warming.
Women leaders, first ladies, most woman in power are now dressing for their role. Their waists are cinched tighter, their heels and made higher and skirt lengths are adjusted and adapted to the event, country and season. Yes, the wardrobes of the power-ladies are now the best in the world. Designers are literally throwing their collections at them, they are now considered walking advertisements. Never mind the policies...who cares about their President husbands? - it's all about what dress is being worn. Damn right!
