Middle Eastern couture - Princess Amira in Victoria Beckham and Sheikha Mozah in Chanel heels

It's come to my attention recently that the power-women of the Middle East REALLY know how to dress. Like, really really know. Whoever they have styling them, if they do have stylists (is that naive of me?), are very very good at their jobs. If they don't have stylists, they should probably market themselves as some of the best in the world. Because, lovely reader, their closets rival any other first lady or political power woman the world over.

Take Princess Amira of Saudi Arabia. She was snapped only yesterday, whilst attending the re-opening of the Savoy with Prince Charles, wearing a this season Victoria Beckham frock, the very same one Oprah was wearing last week at the Women's Conference. And what's more, she wore nude heels with the nude dress AND she had part of the should-be tucked in drapery, un-tucked. Fabulous!

And, my personal favourite Middle Eastern lady, Sheikha Mozah, third wife of the Emir of Qatar. The Sheikha and her husband are over here once again, staying at oh, just a little venue - Windsor Castle. They often come to the UK to build on their relationships between our royal family and trading of both countries. I'm so pleased they come here often - Sheikha Mozah certainly brightens up our fashion pages. She is SO UBER-CHIC and GLAMOROUS. It pours out of her. She usually opts to cinch in her waist (clever move for a tall, elegant woman), and chooses bold, strong colours. She also accentuates her statuesque-ness with longer length skirt and dress lengths. Super fashion switched on!
