This year's American Country Awards looked bloomin fabulous. I'm going to make it my life's mission to get there one day, but for the time being I'll have to take a seat behind the screen. And this year it was Carrie Underwood who completely stole the show... in her OMGorgeous red Georges Chakra gown, up-do and no less than SIX wins!
My only gripe? That my hero, Dolly Parton, was nowhere to be seen! She never goes out any more, and I don't like it. She lights up the red carpet! However, taking her place was second-in-line to Country Queen's throne Reba McEntire who, at 55, looked so unbelievably... well... young as she performed.
There was some red carpet men's high lights too: Country singer Josh Turner chose an amazing striped Bolongaro Trevor jacket (featured on the blog here) and Bret Michaels also wowed in his black velvet jacket, embellished so-wrong-it's-right cowboy hat and vintage boots.
Over all, loving everything about last night's awards. Can't wait to be there next year, on Dolly's arm!
