Meryl Streep, one of the world's most extraordinary actresses, playing Margaret Thatcher, one of the this country's most extraordinary Prime Ministers, in what will surely be the film of the year, The Iron Lady... and this is an exclusive first picture! The film will document Thatcher's life, with Jim Broadbent as her loyal husband Denis; from her now infamous childhood of 'the grocer's daughter' to the first female UK Prime Minister - who wielded her power for 11 whole years!
I've never divulged this about myself before, but I am a self confessed Maggie obsessive. I love a matriarchal figure, a powerful woman, and let's face it, there's no one more powerful than her - or maybe I should have said there WAS no one more powerful. I've read her autobiography, her biographies and watched everything about her, so this really is the icing on the cake!
Even though Meryl portrays a rather more glamorous version of Margaret, I am still so SUPER excited to see the film unfold!
