Hey!

Welcome to The Very Simon G. My blog has been going for nearly a decade, but there ain’t getting away from me just yet! Come in for fashion, fun and everything in between. Enjoy!

From New York Fashion Week A/W 2011: Victoria Beckham does herself proud once again...

Oh Mrs. Beckham knows high end fashion doesn't she? See this is why I don't depress myself by flying over the pond for NY Fashion Week... I wouldn't be allowed in to see her collection and that's really the only reason why I would want to go!

For Autumn Victoria has given us not only a gorgeous colour mix, including saffron, yellow, orange and some yummy earthy tones, but she has also evolved her collection on from just the pencil-shape dress.

There were dresses, oh yes there were, but they were equally spaced out by some separates and, which is why I love this collection so much, there was something for everyone: dresses, skirts, trousers, jackets and gorgeous bags.

I'm not sure if it's because she is pregnant herself, but Vic has designed this collection on the idea that, and I quote: "so women can be stylish and comfortable". This was evident in the looser shapes of the jackets, ultra-comfy sack-style dresses - only VB could make them look amaze (including a royal blue V neck option which is one of the strongest of the collection) and some drapery.

There were other lovely details. The bondage style strap belts very much 'made' some looks, boots and shoes by Louboutin, a first for Victoria, and some of the most gently placed pleats I think I've seen for a while. And, to top it off, there were huge bags, big cashmere ones that will be, no doubt, ultra coveted.

My love for Victoria Beckham Ltd. continues...
