Now that the madness of fashion month has passed, and everyone seems to be back to normal i.e. not running around in six inch stilies with crazed eyes, harassed expressions and a Starbucks (ok, maybe some people are still doing that), I can get on with my Blogger Bag feature...
Meet British Beauty Blogger (Mrs. BBB). If there was anyone's bag I'd want to delve into, it would be this one, just because firstly her bag is ALWAYS Chanel and secondly the products she uses are the crème de la crème, so thank you for giving us a glimpse.
If any of you know Mrs. BBB you'll know that she is hilarious and fabulous in equal measures, and her bag contents reflect just that; from millions of lip glosses to 'a dog biscuit or two', here's what you'd find...
*The Rundown...*
You’ll always find, lurking in the bottom of my bag, a few sachets of sweeteners, a month’s worth of train tickets, a couple of plastic lighters, some fruity kind of chewing gum – because I hate mint – and Juicy Fruit is a favourite, but mostly you’ll find about twenty lipglosses from Lanolips and Bobbi Brown with one or two Chanels thrown into the mix. For some reason, I always think I’ve forgotten to take gloss so throw in a couple more and then they pile up. I’m terrified of being bag searched in case Selfridges think I’ve been shoplifting!
I carry a small, red Smythson diary without which I’d be lost, and usually a non-descript pen of some kind although I have a few Givenchy pencils that if I find I chuck in as well. Maybe surprisingly, I don’t very often carry a purse. I’m a back pocket money person and keep my cash in my jeans and my card in my coat pocket or vice versa. If I do take my Marc Jacobs silver purse, it’s full of random cards – anything from a GAP discount card to a Tesco club card! Obviously, my beaten up old Blackberry goes in – I’ve been due for an upgrade for a long time but I’m so fond of the one I have I don’t want to let it go.
Occasionally, if I dig deep, I’ll find a dog biscuit or two (left over from walks with my two poodles), and an assortment of change, that when I last looked comprised of euros, dollars and pounds. If I’m wearing a really bright nail polish, I’ll often throw that in too so I can deal straight away with any chips and I always carry a bottle of Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat because getting a mini-mani at a launch and discovering that it will take the next half hour to dry is one of the most annoying things ever. My house keys, on a Marc Jacobs keyring, are always there and so is my make up bag – a gorgeous black towelling square tote from Chanel. Inside that you’ll find clean cotton buds (for under-eye smudges), Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara and the now discontinued Laura Mercier Bonne Mine palette for face and cheeks."
Total estimated weight: 20kgs of lip gloss alone!
