Why oh why couldn't the Dame of British fashion, Vivienne Westwood, have decided to open her gorgeous LA store in January, when I was there, so I could have been at the launch? How terribly rude of her. Doesn't she know I'm one of her best customers?!?!
Anyway, moving on from bitterness, I did however happily browse all the pictures from the night of the launch (last week) - all the stars were, of course, wearing their best Westwood, the Dame looked smiley and pleased all night, and the shop doesn't look half bad too!
My friend Louisa (follow her on twitter for hilarious LA celeb gossip here) was there to capture all the action, and in spite of her being there to work the red carpet, pumping the celebs for goss, she very kindly had a tour of the store for me, and here are some of the pictures she took. She told me that the store "looked AMAZE, you should SO be here to see it, it's gorgeous and rustic but new and fresh, especially for LA!"
Andreas Kronthaler, Westwood's creative director AND her husband, says on the Vivienne Westwood website: “We are thrilled to finally open our new shop in Los Angeles. We have fond memories of our time there and especially love the influence of Old Hollywood. Vivienne’s designs speak to this timeless sentiment; we look forward to opening our doors to our existing clients and introducing the brand to a new customer base”.
I can't wait to go and see for myself.
