The Roberto Cavalli man or woman is neither shy nor retiring. You can't be. His clothes are so overtly fabulous, so incredibly over the top, just so much that it's so right. If you like that kind of thing anyway. And I do. A lot of it please.
I'll keep it short, because the pictures definitely do all the talking, but I was just so taken with Daniele Cavalli's, Roberto's son, third collection for the brand. The colour palette, with cobalt blue as the staple, included magenta, yellow, pinks, deep caramel and tones of neutral. Polo necks and shirts were worn under suit and leather trimmed jackets, trousers were belted, socks were non existent and bags were big and fabulous. In short, a very European/Monte Carlo/Riviera collection - slim cuts, stripes and a suave attitude to boot.
Did I mention those bags? Has Cavalli designed the men's 'It' bag for the next season?? YES!
I knew I loved Cavalli for a reason. Not that I'm going to the continent any time soon. And not that I'd be able to fit into any of this anyway! Still, to look at, I love it all.
