I'm running out to buy V Magazine. Run like I've never ran before. I don't normally buy V, but after seeing this shoot with Daphne Guinness, Alexander McQueen's muse and most fiercely loyal follower, and Amanda Harlech, shot by Karl Lagerfeld, how could I resist?
Amanda wears a black, plunging gown by Chanel and Daphne is in one of the most exquisite McQueen dresses from Sarah Burton's recent autumn winter collection. The dress was one of those gasping moments on the catwalk... the detailing, origami-like folds and pure decadence captivated everyone who watched. If anyone can wear this and not be worn by it, it's Daphne. She has a way with couture like no other, especially an Alexander McQueen.
The two women, for the shoot, impersonated each other. It makes for a fascinating read, and an even better stare-at-f0r-ages editorial shoot.
