Some of the white dresses... an exclusive Westwood, and behind that to the left
is the first ever Issa wedding dress, exclusive to Selfridges, at just £620!!!
Oh it's going to be a white white Christmas according to Selfridges. Yesterday I went along to check out what we should all expect to be buying as presents for ourselves and others, but mostly ourselves. I can safely say that if I was rich, I'd be buying the lot for myself, especially the... wait for it... I nearly died at this one... very nearly passed out... an exclusive for Selfridges, one-in-the-world rare crocodile skin WHITE Victoria Beckham handbag. Yes I know, I need it, I hear you, but it is a mere *CORRECTION* £8,995. A snippet really! The deciding factor for me was when I got told that this bag also comes with a personal note from VB herself to the new owner. I bet as she writes the note, she's really thinking 'Thanks for the 18 grand, Harper's schooling is now paid for!'
I've re-mortgaged for the bag now.
and these novelty pants by, as I'm sure you can see, Henry Holland*
that is actually a big piece of furniture and behind the doors and
compartments will be one teeny tiny collectible accessory from some
of the most amazing designers! Charlotte Olympia has created
these teeny shoes, as has Margiela, Westwood and Dune. Louboutin
has teeny dolls and there was an amazing mini Fendi Baguette bag!
So over the top but so much fun!!
P.s. I put the mini bottle of champagne there on purpose so you
can see how tiny everything actually was!*
I also went to a fab launch party last night for Forever21's arrival in the UK. Their first store in the country is open in Birmingham already and the Oxford Street store is opening next week. Forever21 is a fashion brand over in the States that kind of sits next to H&M in the market, but I think with even cheaper price tags. It's set to really fit in with our high street, especially if the party last night was anything to go by. Every young fashionista was in attendance (including Bip Ling who was DJing and who is actually in the first F21 campaign over here).
There was a fashion show, as expected, but it was a video/hologram version of the normal catwalks which, quite literally, left me open-mouthed. I loved it! Such a clever idea, even though it's been done before I believe. Never mind Louis Vuitton's French boudoir themed show last season (with actual lifts built for the models), F21's hologram show was amaze! Check the video out...
