I realise that fashion weeks are very much upon us (New York kicks off on 8th September), and with this obviously comes a new season's worth of loveliness, but for some reason JC de Castelbajac's autumn winter 2011 collection passed me by which, for a devoted fan, is a disaster is it not?
The facts remain... I forgot all about him, all about his autumn collection, all about his fabulous tongue-in-cheek yet seriously fashion fashion. And I'm sorry. Very sorry, because for this season JC delivers. He serves up some doggy couture, in his own signature Disney-esque way with print on print puppies, then comes some much needed tartan (a MAJOR 'yes' for this season), colour galore too: caramels and tans, LOTS of red, greens and blues and some black thrown in for a bit of balance.
Not loads for the men, but what there is I want, obviously. That tartan coat and the 'hand' suit jacket are perfection.
The hats are really amazing too, with a sunken skull embossed into them.
Katy Perry loves him (she was spotted in that Renaissance-y dress), I love him, we all love him. Long live JC de Castelbajac. And apologies this is a whole season late!
Enjoy!
