I recently spoke about the extraordinarily exciting design talent that is Shaun Samson. His first graduate collection was stupendously exciting, the kaftan-over-trouser look, so when it came to his debut London Fashion Week collection, I was brimming with anticipation.
And he didn't disappoint. The show notes tell us that: 'For this season's collection Samson visits themes that remind him of Summers growing up in San Diego...Neutral colour bases and fabrics of khaki cotton twills and raw indigo denim complement hand-loomed Mexican blankets that he quotes come in 'crazy A.D.D. colour combinations''.
From what I saw, there were more longer kaftan-style tops in striped colours with more of that Samson magic of fusing fabrics together.
I need to get up close to his designs. I need to try them on. I NEED TO BUY THEM!!!
