Use the word diva, and Dolly Parton's name should magically appear. And by diva obviously I mean an amazing female singer who's survived many a decade in the music industry, who is worth their weight in diva-gold, who is, probably, over the age of 40 (no offense), who usually wears what the hell she likes without anyone criticizing. I don't mean a 20-something girl who shaves off her hair or appears on the front of OK! magazine pregnant and naked with her husband clasping her boobs from behind for publicity!
No. Dolly is a Diva of epic proportion. And she proved it on the red carpet of last night's VH1 Divas Celebrates Soul event wearing a frayed crystallized top - boobs straining, leggings, boots and a variety of hilarious smiles!
Dolly sang with Queen Latifah, which seems to be the start of the promotion of their new film Joyful Noise, released early next year.
I miss Dolly. It's only when you see her fabulous pint-sized self that you realise what fun she brings to the red carpet. All we needed was Cher - but my spies, or Twitter, tell me she's in Germany!
