I watched 'The Queen' starring Dame Helen yesterday, so scenes of HRH in a headscarf are still fresh in my mind. Helen Mirren doesn't actually go horse riding, yet there are plenty of outdoor shots of her: stalking, walking the dogs, crying to herself when the car breaks downs. One presumes HRH has done/does one or more of these things in real life, and seeing her like this, vulnerable and essentially alone (save for a suited and booted groom), adds to her realness.
Is she escaping from one's Christmas chocolate stash, or is this preparation for her Jubilee celebrations later this year? Hmmm.
As much as I love seeing the Queen like this, I do think she could do with some coat help. I've given her some other options below!
