Not only has she smashed all expectations with her recent plunge into high street collaborations, but DVer (get it, DVer - diva - Donatella Versace) has only just gone and sent down the catwalk a gorgeous gorgeous collection of menswear for autumn winter 2012-13!
You think she's playing it safe with the first look, a pinstripe suit, but woe betide he who thinks it will be a safe collection. Before you know it we are right back to were the fashion house started - pure excess and colour. Big cartoon-y floral prints in blues, monochrome, camouflage and multi, big fluorescent fur and shearling collars on pierced leather jackets, and chains and adornments to denim and coats that only add to the campness. A rather light hearted salute at the Navy officers uniform one would say.
Don't think Donatella is taking any notice of a struggling economy. She'd no such thing. Don't be so silly.
