I know it's old in fashion time, but Giles Deacon's spring summer 2012 collection was, for me, one of the most eye-wateringly (I know that's not a word, but you know what I mean) amazing collection of jaw-dropping clothes I've seen. He does something with shape, print and texture that is very rarely seen by any designer - manages to combine all three AND get it right every time. His swan print theme, in particular the beak, remained a constant theme for not only floaty dresses, but separates too.
You get drama with Giles. Real drama. And magic. So much magic. I have never been to one of his shows, but I imagine from whatever row you are lucky to get a seat in, you would definitely try your best not to blink in case of missing a nano-second of his fashion gold.
I dare say this collection was his best to date, but that would be a mistake. I should say that he gets better and better with every new season but that would be patronizing and a bit of a bleghhh fashion thing to say. So I'll just say WOW.
Enjoy these behind the scenes pics from his show...
