You're all well aware how much I love Victoria Beckham, right? Her label has smashed all expectations in the industry, and now her diffusion line, Victoria, Victoria Beckham is gaining almost as much notoriety as her main line label.
And I'm not surprised. Yes, the dresses are still expensive and yes, Liz Jones has had her say but it's not a collaboration with a high street brand - we still expect the collection to be well made, with amazing fabrics, so obviously the prices reflect this. Basically it's a cheaper way to buy into Victoria's brand, and if there was men's, believe me I would be too. I forced The Very Mummy G into a little scalloped number for spring a couple of weekends ago!
Anyway, I digress (and gush). This is about her next season's collection. Autumn Winter 2012. Victoria has given us yet more printed dresses, but this time it's not little cats... it's collars and dresses!
As you can see, there are swan printed collars, and collar print dresses. Actually the collar dress is named 'Collarful' and the dress print dress (the illustrations on this are actually all the dresses in this collection) is called 'Frockerella'. How fun?
Also new for Victoria is 'blanket jacquard' (see last two pics) which is actually one piece of fabric that looks like a print. A very clever technique that does, unfortunately, mean quite a high price point.
