Yup, you guessed it, SUPERHEROES!
When ASOS asked me to come and have a little preview of their new Revive collection, I was more than happy to oblige. Not sure if you remember, but I couldn't get enough of the last Revive collection, all heritage tweeds and check capes.
This new ASOS Revive collection was actually designed by five of the in-house talent at ASOS HQ, one person from a different department. They all looked at vintage comic books and superheroes from their childhoods, and came up with this very directional collection of fun, 'out there' pieces.
I asked the two designers and Jenny, the lovely PR, what superhero they'd most like to be, and Emma (who designed the leather items) said Catwoman, Clara (print designer) said Bionic Woman and Jenny said Wonder Woman. When they asked me, I said a mix between Dolly Parton (for she is MY superhero) and She-Ra. SO ME!!
You'll see below that the 20-piece collection is made up of intergalactic references - the printed dresses and the exaggerated details on the leather biker jackets and trousers, a monster-style knitted jumper dress, an outer space harness and other worldly mesh and ribbed tops, along with shiny sequins.
Not only that, but there are amazing rock-style rings and cuffs, shoes and boots and robot-style gloves.
In short, a really fun, tongue-in-cheek Revive collection worth buying into, for all those with a hidden She-Ra inside of them!
