There's that smell in the air in London at the moment... triple shot espresso and nervous, eager energy mixed together. It's a heady combination. And means only one thing... LONDON FASHION WEEK IS HERE!
You know it's fashion week when it's deemed acceptable to walk around with teddy bears strapped to your arm, wire cages wrapped round your head or carrying a dead dog handbag. Don't believe me? Look...
But wait, there's more! Boohoo.com have sent me out over the week to check out some of the new Spring Summer 2013 collections, and day one had some corkers!
Fyodor Golan was the first show of the day, and the first dramatic, gorgeous gowns for me. Full with lots of blues, whites and orange-y amber prints, the duo's new collection was bursting with otherworldly opulence. Intricate bead work - but I'm talking super intricate, like tiny tiny beads - adorned some bodices, whilst the cut-mosiac handy work left us gasping for more. An ethereal mask-like face was printed onto some of the pieces that was allegedly based on Angelina Jolie.
I'm usually on the fence with Maria Grachvogel, but for SS13 she won my heart with her sheer bottomed trousers and to-the-floor wrap dress with leather jacket combo...
And Unconditional's snake-embossed jackets, cut out blazers, colour blocked short suits and printed tees were a favourite too...
