Romantic, elegant, floaty, dreamy... I can go on, but it stands to reason that the ruffle is definitely one of the more feminine trends that came out of the recent fashion weeks for spring summer 2013.

My personal favourite is Gucci's ruffles, especially the back of that green frock. Chloe's layers of frills splayed from middles of tops and necklines of dresses, whilst Dries Van Noten kept theirs quite boho-ish. JW Anderson turned the peplum on it's side to create a ruff travelling up the body, and Westwood... Westwood just did her thing with swathes or origami folded ruffles. 

Love them or hate them, they're here to stay!
