Whilst in New York last week with H&M for the launch of their Maison Martin Margiela collaboration, we were lucky enough to take a peek at the collection. Well, in true 'me' form, I took it upon myself to try some of the pieces on.
You'll see below I'm 'modelling' (did you get excited about that word in the title of this post? Did you think I was in the campaign shots? Yeah right!) some of the jackets. I don't want to say they are all for us men because once you see the collation up close, you'll soon realise gender is simply not an issue for many of the pieces, in fact that last one I'm in, the oversized pea coat, is actually womens, and this is how big it was on me!
Sadly the leather 'belt' jacket didn't quite fit, but I squeezed into it!
Enjoy perusing my pictures. The collection officially launches in stores on Thursday 15th November, and I really urge you all to go down, touch, feel, and try on some bits. You may not be able to afford real Margiela (I wish I could!), but these pieces are all re-editions of standout pieces from seasons past.
