When I was in New York last month, you couldn't walk one block in SoHo without seeing big, gorgeous signs harking on about Versace's new boutique opening. Actually, the opening party was the night before I came home, unfortunately I didn't get an invite, but I popped into the amazing new store that day to check it out... pure WOWness!
Now then, I hear that the SoHo boutique is now actually the creative nucleus for the House of Versace. So says the press release: "The boutique will be a laboratory for collaborations between Donatella Versace and curators to create special limited-edition items".
Naturally I want the entire first collection, the Soho Edition, which has t-shirts printed with archive images, a diary and an actual board game. A VERSACE BOARD GAME. I mean, I nearly fainted when I saw it. Move over Monopoly, it's all about the Versace game. Who cares how it works, it's called 'Medusa & Greca'.
Oh Christ, I'm going all funny, someone get me a glass of water, ohhh....
