I don't really 'do' suits - it's actually another reason why I love my job so much, I don't have to go in smart - however Versace's brand spanking new Autumn Winter 2013 collection makes me want to do tailoring in a BIG way. Oh, and I'm on the lookout for a wedding suit too.
I don't think there's any need to read between the lines of show notes, or to analyse Donatella's inspiration for any of her collections. I realise that makes me sound like a bad fashion writer, but what I mean by that is Versace - as a House - has never really clung to trends, especially in menswear. This new collection is proof of that.
Lacey lingerie, baggy leather trousers, oversized animal print, lots of double breasted shapes straight from the 80s and graffiti-marked jackets and trousers. All in a days work for Donatella.
Oh dear God, those suits are just insane. Another Versace collection I'm obsessed with.
