But don't get too excited lovely reader. Unfortunately at present, unless you are in the USA, you won't be able to book Fotio's services, they are only in America, so I'm incredibly jealous of you lot over the pond right now. We've been on the hunt for a cool, non-obtrusive photobooth for a while now. We thought it would be a fun novelty to have at the wedding. What better way to document your special day than with a book full of fun/drunk/smiley (delete as appropriate) pics of friends and people you haven't seen for 10 years that your mother has invited ?Whilst at the National Wedding Show at London's Olympia back in February, we saw a handful of generic photo booths, each bigger than the last, or more garish - I mean I love leopard print, but not a six foot pink plastic wall of it at my wedding thank you very much. There was one company we saw and liked, and I'll tell you all about them soon, but on my hunt I stumbled across Fotio. As you'll see from the pic above, it's no ordinary photo booth, it's not a 'booth' at all. It's an old fashioned, Half A Sixpence style camera. I just hope there's a loud bang and a puff of smoke with each click.I just love how unique and simple it is. And what a lovely touch, with the individual tickets. This is what Fotio say:
It looks like a vintage camera and has a real time slideshow instead of print-outs. Guests take their own pictures which they view on the screen and then take a ticket to view the pictures later online... All event pictures will be uploaded to an online gallery within 24 hours of the event and you will also receive all the full-res color pictures on a USB drive when the event is over.
So there's a screen on the bag so you can see how drunk you actually look, and then all the pictures go online so you can view them after the event and print them off. Love it.Check out their website here... Rest assured, I'm on the hunt for something similar in the UK, so bare with me (unless anyone knows of someone?), and I'm just waiting to hear what the costs are, should you be interested.
