After THAT Oscars moment, when Jennifer Lawrence tripped up on the stairs on the way to collect her award in that HUGE Christian Dior couture dress, she strangely won the hearts of most of the world. Her playful, youthful attitude to the mishap showed she was down-to-earth.And that's what you expect from one of the faces of Christian Dior - Miss Dior to be exact - don't you? A graceful, amazing woman. On the red carpet, Jennifer usually is, opting for big, full gowns, or slinky, sparkly, sexy numbers. She knows her body.So to see her in something so removed from her 'usual' look at Monday's Christian Dior autumn winter 2013 couture show, was a shock. Her Dior Resort 2014 ensemble certainly got tongues wagging. Here's what some blogger friends thought...

I don't really know what to say here. Kudos to Jen for taking such an *ahem* risk but this outfit just looks plain wrong. Call me boring but I'd much rather have seen her in a gown than this mish mash of sartorial disasters

I think I'd have to salute Jennifer Lawrence for being adventurous with fashion; it's so easy to get sucked into the 'safe' vortex. I'm not sure it's worked this time round - there are some definite disconnects - but I do like the way she 'nearly' pulled it off.
This woman is one of the most brilliant and beautiful actresses of our generation. This woman is one of THE faces of Christian Dior and has Raf Simons on call as her very own stylist. This woman is looked up to by millions of girls, women and gay men around the globe as a style icon and purveyor of taste. This woman - ironically IN Dior AT Dior - looks a complete and utter shambles.
***And moi...***
I love it when a star wears something so not them. It shows daring and versatility, and that they aren't sartorially boring, which is what, unfortunately, I was starting to think Jennifer was. She's got a bit of a Lara Croft, Tomb Raider vibe going on here, but just uber fashion. It's quite a power look. Not a fan of the crop top, but the trouser/skirt is amazing! Love how unique it is. She's done a good job I think.
