Big designer/high street collaborations are great, they're press worthy and, luckily for the retailers, they're huge money makers, but there's something about the smaller, more independent collabs that I love.River Island have, in the past, had some great people designing clothes for them, especially menswear. There was a Design Forum collection a few years ago which I bought into - a jacket with huge, detachable grey marl sleeves, and most recently T. Lipop, which will be available in stores from September. But there's a new boy on the block now, and a new collection of tees - Tim Wolff, aka Tim Robot. The freelance graphic designer from Berlin, who has previously designed for Vans and Coverse, has created a mini T-shirt series of seven prints which play on Berlin's street art culture. As a fan of the show Futurama, I do LOVE these designs! The collection will be in selected stores and online from 15th August.
