There comes a point at the end of every season when you know the new one beckons. Winter to spring, when there's that one gorgeous sunny-but-still-chilly day, with actual green on the trees. Summer to Autumn, when, like right now, the kids go back to school and the last of the (horrible) festivals finish, and almost like some cosmic coincidence, the weather changes. One last burst of heat, then the rain starts all over again. That's when you know the new season is here. And, just like the change in weather as indication, there comes a time on the red carpets when you just know that it's time for that change again.SOUND THAT KLAXON PEOPLE... DIANE KRUGER IS INDICATION ENOUGH.This week I'm not doing a blog off, I feel like I need to do this one all on my own. Diane Kruger, the German-American actress, is the red carpet dark horse. When she's on one, she steals the show, unequivocally. At the 2012 Met Gala in that purple feathered Prada, that was it. Stop rolling the cameras. End. She won.And here, for the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala dinner in Italy on Monday, Diane wowed, stunned and stole the show in this rich, intense purple Alberta Ferretti gown from the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection. It's officially the autumn/winter season lovely reader. This is THAT moment. Diane has made it clear. This dress is without doubt the most incredible signal that the dark nights are upon us. Its to-the-floor dramatic-ness, 3/4 sleeves, high neck and mesmerizing, Cadbury's purple are subtle hints at what to expect for this new season in fashion.Diane, you look AMAZING!
