Who knew I'd ever write a beauty post? Not me! But when I got sent images of the new Balmain Nail Couture Collection it was too good an opportunity to pass up. Sadly I won't be actually using and reviewing the nail polish, I would do but saving for my wedding means that £40 - although it's a very very good price - now goes towards the cake or flowers or my Versace suit.Anyway, the limited edition collection, made up of black, red and nude with a mat top coat in a lovely little gift box, is truly the epitome of chic nail art. It was actually the bottles that drew me in. I'm sure the saying 'don't judge a book by its cover' extends to nail varnish too, but if the bottles look this elegant and fabulous, surely the stuff inside will be great too? Now for a tiny bit of the chemical bumph as seen on the press release: "The formulae are reassuringly free of toluene, formaldehyde and camphor and they deliver long-lasting colour that goes on evenly with the latest technology wide, flat brush." What ever that means.The box set will be available exclusively from BeautyMART at Harvey Nichols from October 20th 2013.
