Oh you lot totally know that I was LIVING for all the trouser wearers on the red carpet from this year's Met Gala (Monday). I've said it before and I'll say it again... there's something so powerful about a woman in a trouser(suit). You can't not stare! Not only that, but it's a big nod to some of my all time favourite divas, namely Liza Minnelli, Joan and Jackie Collins and Diane Keaton.All these ladies rocked trousers in some form. Cara Delevingne was actually my least favourite - I feel like this white pair could be worn any where - but she was guest to Stella McCartney (who dressed Cara), who looked incredible in one of her own designs - asymmetric long-length top over black trousers. So super fabulous.Brie Larson has to be the ultimate trouser wearer for the Met Gala. She's in Prada. Her kaftan top over trouser ensemble really does remind me of Liza Minnelli, it's just so fabulous. I get that people would hate this, but it shows something so different to red carpet dressing!Kristen Wiig wears Balenciaga, and for me is the most chic of all the women here. The circular shape of the top, with its sequinned lining, over the trousers makes for a very directional look. Just brilliant. And Amber Valletta and French actress Isabelle Huppert opted for shiny trouser suits that definitely vamped up the glamour.So you see, women in trousers are officially IN. And there ain't no better place to judge what's in and what's not than the Met Gala's red carpet!
