My nose has gone into complete overdrive recently. I've sniffed some of the most amazing fragrances over the last couple of months, all of which I will come to write about eventually, but these three were stand-outs. I'm going to leave out all the stuff about 'notes' and the technical stuff because I think men just spray and sniff and then buy, not read up on what's in the scent.1. Hermes Eau de Pamplemousse Rose - although not a new fragrance, I very kindly got a 15ml bottle from the Hermes press day, and haven't stopped spraying since. Don't be fooled by the name - it's not super sweet rose. The grapefruit gives it a real kick. It's very fresh, and great for the summer.2. Fan di Fendi Assoluto - heady, strong and distinctly manly and masculine is the best way to describe Assoluto. Ordinarily it wouldn't be a very 'me' fragrance, but I love the ballsy-ness of it, if you know what I mean. It's unapologetic, which I love in a fragrance. And the bottle is uber sexy!3. Odin 04 Petrana - the other thing I like about a fragrance is one that leaves you thinking and asking questions. This is one ambiguous scent. It's the only floral that Odin have created thus far, and apparently took 18 months to create (the longest of all the 11 fragrances). The three Odin owners didn't really want a floral, but knew they had to create one for those who needed it, like ME! It's not a heady floral, it doesn't get into your nostrils, it's just so fresh, crisp and unique. Amazing amazing amazing. And the packaging is just so luxe too. Go have a spray (and feel) in Liberty.
