Blog Off Mens: Nick Young in Saint Laurent...

I don't know too much about Nick Young, apart from that he is a basketball player, and his rather amazing and famous rapper girlfriend, Iggy Azalea. I do know that he has a great wardrobe though. He likes to show it off from time to time. Here, on Wednesday at the ESPYs in LA, Nick chose this very chic black suit with that black and white square print Saint Laurent shirt (buy it here). And then you look south and notice his bling... THOSE BOOTS!

On the whole, I do like Nick Young's look here. The blazer featured nice and subtle contrasting piping details on the edge, and it worked nicely with the black and white patterned shirt. The trousers fitted nicely, but I would have picked a pair of black boots with some interesting details. Perhaps a pair of Christian Louboutin boots with silver metallic toe caps.  I do stick to the rule of black trousers with black shoes only. That said, his outfit though nice, was too heavy for the midst of the summer.

I like this. It's conservative fun. The boots are very Ziggy Stardust and the suit is a good fit. He has also got on just the right amount of jewellery.

I love Nick's look. It's a modern take on formal dressing; the slim cut suit fits him like a glove and the stylised square-print shirt adds a fun freshness and lifts the tone of the whole look. Heading south, the boots are awesome too - with Iggy Azalea as your other half, you need to have something outrageous, yet somehow Nick manages to make them look totally normal. Although he wasn't the most daring at the awards it's clear to see why Vogue is touting so many sports stars as the new red carpet risk takers.
