Blog Off Mens: Sam Smith's Brit Awards blue Casely-Hayford suit...

Apart from the slightly too-short trousers (he is SUPER tall!), I think this blue suit is gorgeous on Sam Smith from last night's Brit Awards red carpet. It's a lovely change to just all black, and actually shows off his playful personality (and those eyes!).Also, it's a good colour to be photographed to death in - he knew he'd be swiping a few of those Tracey Emin-designed gongs, so a standout suit was a must! But what did some blogger mates think? Loving this colour, especially paired with the white shirt - crisp (but are those cuffs peering or peeking?). The shoes and lack of tie let the look down for me however. The devil's in the details don't you know...

This is a bit of a nothing suit. For one of the biggest music nights of the year, and also knowing he was one of the night's main artists, it would have been nice for something less invisible. I know he's not the typical sample size, and while this does compliment him, it feels more a compromise between him and a stylist than a confidence-boosting look for the occasion.

I love the colour of this suit, but I wish he'd done more with it. It's a bold colour but the execution comes across a little half-arsed - maybe due to the lack of accessories? Maybe it's his pose, but the trousers don't look like they fit that well and there's a little too much cuff for my liking. But I'm a big fan and I love that he is slowing playing with his look more. I loved the patterned shirt he wore to perform. So I'll be keeping an eye out.
