I forget how much I actually love Issa. The problem is, we get to see collections months before they go on sale, which means by the time they're available, it's onto the next season at fashion week. But then you catch a glimpse of a collection that caught your eye all those months ago, and do the whole 'OMG that's amazing' thing again. And that's when you know a designer is for you. These three looks are from the Autumn Winter 2014 collection, which was Blue Farrier's second for the house. They signalled a new aesthetic for Issa, leaving the sometimes vanilla wrap dresses behind. Her inspiration here was, according to Style.com, '...memories of an eccentric old relative's house - a herringbone parquet floor, linoleum, broken mosaics, and a general feeling of old world-ness.'However, regardless of the inspiration, the colours and pattern of these particular pieces are just so infectious. They left, and still leave me mesmerised. Especially that poncho/shawl piece. It's brilliantly statement. There are some bits from this collection left on Theoutnet.com, see them below. And as for the Resort 2015 collection, available to buy now (below also), but was revealed last June, it's just as ridiculously amazing. This time, Farrier's touch points were the great artists, specifically French ones, and also ocean waves, in particular south of France ones... Aren't the colours just ridiculously amazing? Swirled together, like liquid tie-dye, in wavy formations like fashionable toothpaste, and big, bold floral prints which just scream fabulousness. Especially when all worn together.I love matching printed trouser and top combos, and there have been PLENTY during Farrier's short one year reign and beyond, these being some of the best. It'll take a confident woman to pull this lot off, but you can always just buy into one piece, and style it up with your entire wardrobe the whole summer, to make a statement.
