When you can't stop staring at a collection, when you keep going back to look at the images, you know it's a goodie!
It's just too good. Too too good. This, the first pre-collection outing for Delpozo, after customers demanded one, is so super amazingly fabulous it makes me double take. And gasp. A lot.You see, Delpozo, as a House, create the most spectacular runway collections. They are couture-like in their fabrication, shapes and details. I've never been to one of their shows - they are staged in New York - but I become glued to Instagram, refreshing every three seconds to catch a front row glimpse.Exquisite beading, impressive embroidery, big balloon sleeves (a signature of creative head, Josep Font) and lots and lots of structure. These are the staples of every Delpozo collection, this pre-fall offering included.
This is Daywear Delpozo. Font's idea of off-duty is ridiculously fabulous, wouldn't you agree? And obviously a a red and off-white striped cape with flower appliqué is not everyone's everyday choice, the cotton cropped trousers, or the shirts and printed blazers just might be!
This is also the second season of bags from Delpozo, and the block colours on these ones are infectious. And those platform shoes... I've never been a fan, but these are reminiscent of Westwood, and I LOVE them!And the best news is, for the next two weeks, this whole collection is available to pre-order on one of my favourite sites, Moda Operandi...
