It's that time people... your wardrobes are crying out for some newness. I know mine is. I've browsed the rails of Liberty, Selfridges, Harvey Nics countless times, and mentally totted up approx. £100,000 worth of new garms. And then reality hit. Hard. And I realised I just need to be very picky with what I buy for the new season. I'm taking my mum's, and Vivienne Westwood's approach: spend more, buy less.Which kind of led me to find these five brands - some relatively new, some established - that I've come to think of as essential designers to be hung in your spring wardrobes.Enjoy!
*Dries van Noten (one for the boys)*
I've made in NO secret that I'm totally obsessed with van Noten's Marilyn Monroe prints this season, but more than that, his totally Palm Springs prints are infectiously amazing. So so good.

*Jacquemus*
A new(ish) brand, a new(ish) designer, but one who knows what he's about. His dissected-then-put-back-together-again pieces are my favourite, and for this season it's all about quirky layering and half-half designs, reminiscent of Jean Paul Gaultier's couture spring 2015 collection.

*Vivetta*
Romance, quirkiness, feminine, attention to detail... AMAZING detail. Vivetta is the ONE for those who want a really wow, statement piece. The brand is known for it's cut out faces - on dresses, sleeves, shirts, and now's the time to add one to your collection!

*Hillier Bartley*
I spoke about this brand a while ago (here), and am still just as in awe of the pieces it pumps out. Launched by friends and longtime design partners Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley (of Marc by Marc Jacobs fame). Super chic, super luxe, and with a heavy focus on detail and traditional tailoring, buy something RIGHT NOW!

*Mira Mikati*
Emojis, cartoons and fun cultural references make Mira Mikati's pieces some of the most vibrant, irreverently brilliant and sought after for this season. Beyonce's been spotted in one of the jackets, and I suspect lots more celebs will be out and about in something printed from the brand in no time!
