Giambattista Valli is one of those designers whose collections mesmerise you. Look at any season, from his main line or couture collections, and you'll find at least one thing you'll fall in love with.I find more. Well, every single piece usually. The couture is, well, up there with the best of the best. Big frothy dresses, oh-so-amazing embellishments, interesting cuts... I could go on. And as of 2014, Valli added another string to his bow - GIAMBA, the youthful, more accessible (although prices are still high) brand that is all about cool-girl vibes.Yesterday (14th June) saw Valli show his eighth season of Giamba, and OMG I'm obsessed. These are the times I wish I was a young lady, seriously...ANIMALS! And lots of them. No wonder I love it so much. Anything with an animal print, and I'm sold. Especially when there's flamingos. You KNOW how much I love a flamboyance (flock of flamingos!).Some of the collection gives me Gucci vibes, like the rainbow knit above, and the glitter shoes, and the ultra-maximalism of it all. But other than those elements, this new offering from Valli speaks for itself.I haven't loved some past seasons of Giamba - fall 2016 was a bit too Saint Laurent, some of resort 2016 was a bit meh - but spring 2016, with its sequins and face prints, was brilliant. And this collection is BEYOND amazing!
I told you it was amazing!
