In my head I'd written this post a long times ago. I even had to search my own blog to be sure I hadn't.
If anyone happens to stumble over a similar post on my blog about the amazing label, Halpern, do let me know.
Although two blogs still wouldn't do it justice.
It figures that I would be taken with EVERYTHING Michael Halpern does. He cut his couture teeth working as part of the Atelier Versace team.
And you all know what that means... high fashion, lots of drama, lots of sparkle and lots of mesmerising creations.
Also, for this Autumn Winter 2017 collection, he cites Cher and Bob Mackie (designer, and longtime costumer for the diva) as inspirations.
HELLOOOOOO. THIS COLLECTION IS BASICALLY MY LIFE IN CLOTHES.
If you've ever played that fantasy game of 'what type of fashion designer I'd be', Halpern would win for me.
The perfect fusion of camp/disco/tailoring/'70s/Cher. Sprays of emerald sequins up flared trousers, dramatic sparkly jumpsuits and draped bustier tops.
You can have a butchers at some of the collection over at Matchesfashion.com and Brownsfashion.com right now...
