Over at Paris fashion week, Viktor and Rolf's (another of my favourites) 2009 Spring/Summer men's collection gave us boys something delectable to look at (and not just the models!). In fact they only showed their menswear, saving the womenswear for a new 'online catwalk' experiment.
The collection focused mainly on the suit and how to play around with it - a 'short' version of the suit and teaming a baseball-like jacket with fierce suit trousers are just two examples. Pastel colours, fun shapes and bold prints were included along with some playful Hawaiian inspired designs and garlands. There were also some 50's inspired clothes and a glimpse back into the 80's with some over-sized shoulders. Their fresh new designs and quirky originality, in my opinion, are very much welcome to what is usually the 'same old' for men's fashion.
I thought the prints were amazing. The printed white shirt with the matching printed trouser combo was pure eye candy for me! Will someone buy me a V&R suit already???
