The creative duo behind Duckie Brown, Stephen Cox and Daniel Silver, stated that their spring summer catwalk of last week focused on men baring a little more flesh than in previous seasons - after all, summer is definitely a time to get those pasty pins out, even for the boys. Their new collection really was a nod back to the 40s and 50s - Cary Grant-esque high waisted swimming trunks and smart but effortlessly casual jackets and shorts. Light weight but darker toned checks, sheer shirts, neutral hued short suits and even some cute bow-tied shorts were sent down the catwalk from a collection that I think has more retail value than any of their previous ones. I for one am glad to see a summer collection that isn't completely off the wall but actually very wearable. Well done boys!
