Friday night was Sass and Bide, and didn't the Australian duo do well? I loved the whole collection. In a monochromatic palette, spiced with the odd silver and gold sequin, this autumn winter has never looked more...well...summery! Billowing, wide trousers caught my eye, as did the Aztec and hieroglyphic prints.
Feathers and beading bought a slight rock/tribal edge to the collection, as did the oversize gold claw or tooth (I couldn't really make out what it was) clutch bag and the studded black leather arm covers which were also teamed with gorgeous slinky dresses - AMAZE!
I grabbed the lovely Hilary Alexander after the show for a little catch up. She spoke so highly of the collection, and described it as 'a mix up of rock and medieval influences'. She was so overly-fabulous, I definitely need to get to know her better me thinks!
Well done Sarah-Jane and Heidi - a great, light, wearable collection for a season that often leaves designers playing it safe.
