I don't live in Knoxville, but if I did I would have definitely been at Dolly Parton's opening concert for her Better Day World Tour last night at the University of Tennessee campus arena. Apparently she hasn't played in Knoxville for over 25 years, so it's a very welcome return for my idol!
Luckily, however, I have my tickets booked to go see my absolute FAVOURITE diva of all in September at the O2, I just wish she was over here sooner! I hear very good things about her new show, including songs from her past and some from her new album, mixed with her usual wig and outfit changes, not forgetting her bubbly personality.
She always puts on a fab show, and often jokes that she's so pleased so many people bought the tickets, coz she needs the money... 'it costs a lot to look this cheap' Dolly says.
