Monday, it seems, was print day. Never before have I seen so much colour, texture, clashing designs on the catwalks. And are we surprised with a line up that included Peter Pilotto, Michael Van Der Ham, Christopher Kane, Louise Gray and Giles? What a fun boohoo.com fashion day it was!
Here are some of my day four highlights...
First show of the day, a 9am-er, Peter Pilotto woke us all up with prints, prints and more prints. The design duo just kept on sending look after look out that wowed the audience. With even the catwalk floor paved in print, the Peter Pilotto spring summer 2013 woman is a sight worth seeing....
Antonio Berardi wants to make great jackets, so says the designer himself, and his new collection showed off his craftsmanship. Double layered dresses, peplums of all peplums and some added sparkle in the form of sea blue, pink and clear sequins and beads graced his uber elegant yet subtly sporty SS13 collection...
David Koma has come a long way since Cheryl Cole debuted his UFO-like, round top dress on the X Factor a couple of years ago. So far, in fact, that he is paving the way for new trends for next spring/summer, namely the honey comb design. He works in colour, but not crazy clashes, usually sticking to primary hues like this green and blue palette. And he referenced the Olympics by taking inspiration from tennis players... the most fashionable ones, obvs!
