Blog Off: Gwyneth Paltrow in Antonio Berardi

Gwyenth is certainly pulling out all the stops of late on the red carpets. Might she have a new stylist? Might she be going through a fashion-life crisis? Either way, it's actually a GOOD thing. She's never really been on my radar. Up until recently. Did you see her in that Ralph Lauren blue gown? Or in that amazing Edrem trouser and top combo? Both great choices. And then Wednesday evening happened. Gwyneth in a very daring Antonio Berardi peek-a-bum (do you like what I did there?) gown at the Iron Man 3 LA premiere. Was it a success? Here's what some blogger mates thought...Gwyneth Paltrow antonio berardi iron man 3 premiere

***Catherine from Red Carpet Fashion Awards***

People are shocked that Gwyneth wore a revealing Berardi dress to the Iron Man LA premiere. If I had a butt like that, which I paid Tracy Anderson thousands of dollars to shape, I would want to show if off too!

***Ella from Coco's Tea Party***

You have to respect Gwyneth for having the guts to walk the red carpet without wearing any knickers! This Berardi look is more "catwalk" than "red carpet", so I'm impressed Gwyneth gave it a go. I adore the silhouette of the skirt, but don't like the sheer panelling. Gwyneth has an amazing booty, but I really don't want to see butt cheek on the red carpet. Even if it has been molded to perfection by Tracy Anderson!

***Gurd from Style Cupid***

This is quite simply BEAUTIFUL. It's like Gwynie is wearing the embodiment of calligraphy in dress form. Antonio Berardi really does have an eloquent way with design - the fabric is his quill and he's scribing a Shakespearean sonnet sartorially. It's somehow gothically romantic and yet airily light both at the same time. She's never looked better (apart from in THAT white Tom Ford obvs).

***And moi...***

Let's be honest, she looks hot. Berardi is a FABULOUS designer and Gwynie is a great clothes horse. I love the colour combination, that green is to die for, but I think I agree with Ella. It's a catwalk look. Flashing your junk on the red carpet, no matter how pert it is, is a bit... off really. But other than that, good work Gwyn!

Would you carry one of these cartoon-y bags??
