Oh, erm, hi my new favourite hotel and restaurant and bar and decor EVER! Have you all been to the Bulgari hotel in Knightsbridge? Because if you haven't, you're MISSING. OUT.Especially in the month of May because in the lead up to the Chelsea Flower Show, Il Ristorante, the hotel's amazing restaurant, is putting on a floral menu extravaganza, equipped with an utterly impressive floral tree display table centre. It's really something. And I was lucky enough to have a taste last week.I've never actually eaten an edible flower before, which is even more surprising as I'm a veggie so really I should be eating every daisy or rose going. Up until now that is. This menu includes pansies, elderflowers and borage flowers. Mmmmmmm. They were SO delish! The Chelsea Flower Show lunch, created by Head Chef Robbie Pepin, is priced at £30 per person for a three-course lunch. Probably one of the most reasonably priced high-end lunches in London I'd say, considering it's such gorgeous food. Oh yeah, and THAT tree centre piece, designed by In Water Flowers (with 100 roses to celebrate 100 years of the Chelsea Flower Show) is just breathtaking and so worth the money too.Go have lunch at Il Ristorante if you can. It's WELL worth it. Just to see the Bulgari hotel too. Take a look at some snaps...
This is the staircase on the way down to the restaurant. Those shapes are actually sketches by Mr Bulgari from some of his jewellery designs!
And these AMAZING old pictures in one of the hotel's bars from the Bulgari archive. Sophia Loren giving daggers to Jayne Mansfield, and then Elizabeth Taylor in THAT emerald Bulgari necklace!
