My goodness, what a season! We might only just be getting a glimpse of that thing called, erm, what's it called again? Oh yeah, THE SUN, but in the fashion calendar we are already looking ahead one whole year, to spring summer 2014 for us men.And men, it's a friggin' good summer for fashion. An extraordinarily amazing collection of sartorial sun was seen stomping down hundreds of catwalks in the last month in three fashion corners of the globe: London, Milan and Paris.And look, I've been spotted wearing some of my favourites...
***Walter Van Beirendonck***
Give me a trompe l'oeil print, some geometric shapes and a few long tunic-over-trouser looks, and I'm anyones. No, actually, not anyones, just Walters. This collection, lovely reader, has smashed every other collection for the new season completely to smithereens. And it's heart warming too. Titled 'Home Sweet Home', Walter found inspiration quite literally from his home. Carpet prints, a 3D vase and paintings he has hanging on his walls. The geometric lines are actually abstract versions of the spaces in his house too. THIS IS A FASHION STORY, a real one. YES YES YES.

Pleats please! Miyake's proportions are always a favourite of mine. Oversized, long, draped, harem, love it all. And for SS14, expect more longer tunic/smock style tops (it's a trend seen throughout all the shows), bold primary colours and printed shorts that I actually like. Look how amazing I look! (lol)...
***Haider Ackermann***
In his first stand-alone menswear show, Haider presented us with EXACTLY what us fans of his wanted - intense, jewel coloured satins, fine silks and amazing Jacquard trousers. Granted, nothing was as draped as the women's collections (I was left wanting more), however I would still feel like Tilda Swinton in all of this. Which is exactly who I'd want to emulate when wearing Haider.
***Dolce & Gabbana***
A complete Sicilian fantasy. That's what Domenico and Stefano sent down their catwalk. And I've never wanted to visit the Italian island more. Iconic heads, buildings of substance and Greek mythology, all printed onto loose tops, trousers and whole suits. Print print print. Imagine a whole wardrobe of D&G SS14? Remarkable.
