She's back lovely reader. Gaga is back, and re-invented herself once again. I read on Twitter this week that she's borrowed Beyonce's weave - obviously they were joking - but I am loving the wavy hair on her. One of her best wigs me thinks. Oh, and the clothes this time round and interesting too.Where as last year's re-invention was all about her discovering Versace and all of Gianni's old prints, this time it seems to be about a whole new host of designers that one would never think she'd wear. Balanciaga for instance.But in true Gaga style, she takes a look and runs with it. You have to give her credit, she champions relatively unknown designers and puts them on the map. Like Jamie Wei Huang (a fashion design student fresh out of Central Saint Martins, London). Gaga has been spotted around New York this week in these wide leg trousers and top combos from Jamie's spring 2014 collection.I've read a lot of reactions on Twitter, but here's what some blogger friends think...

Dare I say it I am getting a little bored of Lady Gaga’s attempt at elegance – I miss her flamboyant style. These three looks all seem a little messy, not very Gaga, and why haven’t any of them being tailored to fit her tiny frame? The only positive I have is her hair – I really love her curly blonde locks. Here’s hoping that Gaga is going to shock at this weekend’s VMAs.
The thing about Gaga is that she established herself as "arty couture absurdity" the moment the Bad Romance video came out adorned with those McQueen hooves. Toned down Gaga in comparison just looks like a teenager dressing in her Mum's clothes. I'm all for wide legged trousers - very Haider - but just not on Gaga. Once you've taken your public to the realms of visual absurdity and sartorial art-noveau brilliance, you owe it to them to maintain it. No one likes a fashion quitter!

So the black top look is quite chic (even if the hair's a little scary) but as for the other two, words fail me. A masterclass in how not to wear wide leg trousers.

I guess it's only me then. I'm OBSESSED with Gaga in these trousers. OK, so the clear plastic ones are a little... dare I say it... student-y, but I do love a woman in a trouser, and a wide leg one is even better. It's a very powerful image. Also these looks work so well because she wears a crop top with each, which means the outfit is broken up a bit. Very important with wide leg trousers. I think this might be one of Gaga's best weeks, for casual wear anyway!
