I very rarely blog about magazine covers, only if it REALLY takes my fancy, like Tina Turner on Vogue Germany or Kim Kardashian (who?) on Harper's Bazaar or Cher on Vanity Fair, and when I just saw this one of Lily Collins on Flaunt magazine's Dye Issue, it REALLY took my fancy! It's just so striking. Yes, it helps Lily has that lovely British alabaster skin, but it's more about this cape, this truly mesmerizing, dramatic, utterly gorgeous cape. And the fact that Lily in this outfit is such a move away from what we are used to seeing her in.But more about the cape... it's beaded and embroidered diamond shapes on the bottom, houndstooth check all over and metal clasp at the neck kind of make it the PERFECT cape for autumn/winter. Certainly the best one I've seen for a long long time. On Lily, it looks incredible. The interview with Lily was interesting to. On fashion, the actress said:
As much as I love helping pick out clothes for other people, I think it’s so difficult when I can’t even figure out what is totally my style... I like to have fun and experiment and only recently in the past year and a half, I’ve started to try being a bit edger…Not overtly sexy, because I would never do that, but a classy refined version of sexy, just a bit older.
Well I for one think that sexy works for Lily. Especially floor-length capes with nothing on underneath!
